Our Curriculum

Our Curriculum

At Dominion Embassy Academy, learning is an adventure in understanding, not a race to memorise. We run a mainly GES curriculum supported by Montessori practical teaching methods, so that what the nation expects every child to know is taught in ways a child can see, touch and understand.

The national curriculum as our backbone

Our pupils follow the curriculum approved by the Ghana Education Service, phase by phase, from the early years through primary. Every subject is planned against the national learning outcomes, so nothing is left to chance and no pupil is left behind.

Montessori practice brings the curriculum to life. Children work with real materials, move at their own pace within a prepared classroom, and learn to care for themselves, their work and one another.

More than marks

We believe education should not just be about academic work and examination scores. Alongside a strong academic foundation we nurture creativity, physical wellbeing, social skills and emotional strength, with a public speaking class, cultural days, excursions and our annual donations to the community.

Christ-like character

Our curriculum is taught with Christ at the centre. Moral discipline, integrity and spiritual growth run through every subject, so that our learners grow in wisdom as well as knowledge.
